Steel structure is one of the mainstream forms of prefabricated buildings
There are three main structural forms of prefabricated buildings, namely prefabricated concrete structure (PC), prefabricated steel structure (PS) and prefabricated wood structure, and the remaining few prefabricated buildings use mixed structures.
According to the comparable caliber of the prefabricated standard consumption quota, the difference between the total price of prefabricated concrete and prefabricated steel structure houses narrows with the increase of the assembly rate of prefabricated concrete buildings. According to the requirements of the prefabricated building evaluation standard: the assembly rate of prefabricated buildings is not less than 50%, the price of PS structure is about 1.1 times that of PC structure. As far as the specific cost is concerned, the steel structure is mainly higher than the concrete structure in terms of mechanical cost, which is about 3 times that of the concrete structure. It is worth noting that the labor cost of prefabricated steel structures is 60%~70% of that of concrete structures, and the demand for construction workers is relatively less. The rising labor cost of construction workers will help increase the share of steel structures in prefabricated buildings. At the same time, the scale effect of prefabricated steel structure enterprises is expected to further narrow the price difference between steel structures and concrete structures.
